Terms of Use

Last updated: May 29, 2025

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Scriber (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. “You” means the individual or entity using the Service. “We” means Scriber and its operators.

2. The Service

Scriber provides access to a catalog of practitioner-sourced workflows that can be run via a web interface, a REST API, or an MCP server. Workflows are attributed to specific practitioners and extracted from public, unscripted conversations (podcasts, conference talks, interviews).

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes where possible.

3. Accounts

You must sign in using a supported authentication method to run workflows or access API keys. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@scriber-ai.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not create accounts for others without their consent, share API keys with unauthorized parties, or attempt to circumvent usage limits.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

The Service is offered under Free, Pro, and Enterprise tiers. Current pricing, included run limits, and feature differences are listed on our Pricing page, which is the authoritative reference and may be updated from time to time.

Billing is processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each calendar month. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period with no partial refunds for unused time. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or replicate the workflow catalog systematically.
  • Introduce malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or probe for security vulnerabilities without our written consent.
  • Use the API or MCP server to resell access to the Service without an enterprise agreement.
  • Submit personally identifiable information of third parties without their consent as workflow inputs.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

6. Workflow Content and Attribution

All workflows in the Scriber catalog are attributed to specific practitioners and sourced from publicly available, unscripted conversations. Attribution is our commitment to the practitioners whose insights power the catalog — do not remove or misrepresent attribution when sharing or publishing outputs.

Workflow outputs are generated by our AI provider applying the framework logic to your inputs. Output quality depends on input quality. Scriber makes no guarantee that any workflow output is accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the inputs you provide to workflows and the outputs generated for you. By submitting inputs, you grant us a limited license to process them solely to deliver the Service. We do not use your inputs to train AI models or share them with third parties beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

All Scriber platform code, design, branding, and the workflow catalog structure are our property or licensed to us. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. You may use outputs you generate for any lawful purpose.

9. Connected Data Sources

When you connect a third-party service (HubSpot, Linear, Mixpanel), you authorize us to access and read data from that service on your behalf solely to execute workflows you initiate. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect and use that data within Scriber.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will meet your requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scriber's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may delete your account from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or for non-payment. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance.
